I want to know from people who grow up without a dad?

I am a mother of two and live really far from my familly. I do not like the relationship I am in now .But he is the father of my children . I am wondering if I should make my life miserable for a couple of years ,so that my children grow up with their dad. Or should I live and be sourrounded by my familly. I keep on hearing the statistic of hight crime with people the grow up with out dad's. I would like to have a oppinion of somebody that did not have their dad around. he is a good dad , we just don't agree on anythhing and always argue! I don't really want to separated and be alone I am kind of scared worried
